NMITE University Competition, Hereford

Our proposal centres around creating a series of interconnected courtyards and learning gardens. This ideas learns from the positive benefits of the traditional collegiate quad formation and enhances the typology to create an outwardly productive making and assembly space. This becomes a mixing pot of ideas where students can experiment with large scale making and group work and have an informal space for cross-over of ideas. The ‘mixing-pot’ concept extends to the interior spaces with the creation of varied spaces for learning.
