Rural Creative Retreat, Herefordshire
The site is a working uplands farm, set on the border between England and Wales in area rich in history and folk law. The farm comprises of a Grade II listed farmhouse and a number of curtilage listed barns and outbuildings to the west of the farmhouse.
The ambition is to create a sustainable rural business, offering holiday accommodation and retreat facilities for creative industries, against the backdrop of a working farm. The aim is for visitors to experience the abundance of natural resources in its peaceful setting, while offering a degree of comfort, quality and style in the facilities provided.
The Grade II listed farmhouse and curtilage listed outbuildings will be sensitively restored to reveal their long and interesting rural history. The more modern steel barns, further to the west of the site, will be rebuilt to create modern, high performance accommodation that celebrate the stunning and far reaching views, while sitting comfortably in their agricultural context.
